For the life of me, I cannot get re-assignments to save in the BB2. I set up triple tap stop, for instance, and next time I plug it in….it’s back to a 2 tap stop. Nothing seems to stick.
Are you using the downloadable BBManager by any chance?
It’s also possible that there’s a project saved on your computer that includes these footswitch settings. If you shoot an email to support@singularsound.com, I’m happy to help you resolve it.
Yes, I am using the downloaded software version of the BB Manager. It’s far superior to the online version, despite the many improvements to the latter. The on-line version isn’t fully baked enough to use yet.
I’ve saved the settings on the pedal, loaded the project from the pedal’s SD card into the BB Manager, saved the project, and then exported back to the SD card, and still the settings don’t stick. Heck, even when I save the “Triple Tap Stop” function right on the pedal, it still stops after two taps (not paused, but stopped). So, in short, the triple tap stop does not work at all. At least the “song advance” function works when I save it to the pedal. But ONLY until I unplug the pedal.

What also might be really great is to be able to set your pedal function preferences within the BB Online Manager, thus shortening the process whereby you save your preferences to each project or pedal (I have 3 beat buddies currently, all getting extensive use).
We do not recommend using the downloadable BBManager, as it is no longer supported and isn’t compatible with the BB2. Your footswitch settings are saved directly on your SD card, so if you save your entire project to your computer, these settings will be preserved.
Hasn’t been supported in a while, but it’s still far more useable than the Online Manager.
As for saving settings: if settings changes are saved to the SD card, why don’t the changes I make appear to be saving directly to the card as I save (or, attempt to save) them within the BB2pedal itself. I’ll make changes, then unplug the device, then plug it back in, and no changes have been saved.
Also, whether or not you can save them anywhere else is beside the point. I know you can (or, at least, that’s the claim. I haven’t been able to so far). The request is to build the capability to modify all the different pedal settings somewhere within the Online Manager. Which would, objectively, be a whole lot better.

For troubleshooting your current issue, it would help a lot if you could send us a short video showing exactly the steps you take when changing settings, turning off the device, turning it back on, and the settings that don’t seem to save. Please make sure your BB2 is running the latest firmware and send the video to support@singularsound.com.
