BB2 Pre-ordered Extra Content

A question for all of you that did the pre-order combo package with everything in it. Has anyone received an e-mail with a link for the extra content download? I really feel the way this was all released was a huge mess. You can now go to SS website and buy the extra content that we should have already received. As I was typing this up, I received an e-mail from BB Support informing me that the link will be sent out next week.

I purchased the full bundle pre launch in June and waited patiently for delivery. I recieved my BB2 and Superswitch over 2 weeks ago albeit minus the Cabli’s and digital content. I emailed SS to let them know and they emailed last week to say SS logistics were working hard to get the rest of my order to me and that I would get an email with a link ā€˜soon’. This week I was told I should get the link by the ā€˜end of the week’. Nothing as yet though. Not even an email to keep me in the picture. I have taken the BB2 out of the box and hooked it up to test it. That is as far as it has got so far and have now reboxed it while I wait for the rest of my order to arrive….. If the digital content is available to buy and download now why on earth can’t a simple link and code be emailed to everyone who hasn’t recieved it with their bundled delivery bought and paid for months ago? Am being unreasonable for thinking like this? I do agree this looks like a huge mess and appears that some deliveries got the full bundle but many did not. I can only assume SS do not know themselve’s who did or didn’t recieve it either……. I must admit I was really excited when I purchased my BB2. My enthusiasum has somewhat waned though with unspecific information and no updates as to what is happening about this. Not the best unboxing experience when after a long wait for it to arrive I realised I had items missing from the package. I am positive that eventually I shall enjoy using my BB2 as much as I have my BB1 so come on SS you have an absolutely world ā€˜beating’ product but the

lack of information about this isn’t helping your image at all right now. I don’t wish to be cynical but perhaps the BB3 will be out soon or maybe by the end of next week!:wink: :sweat_smile: :+1:

Its actually not that uncommon for a new product to not quite deliver on initial launch. Its seems like the Boutique stuff wasn’t quite ready for release and they had a choice of sending everything at once or sending it piecemeal. There wasn’t any way for them to win either way since you’d piss somebody off. You could argue they shouldn’t have promised something they weren’t guaranteed to deliver on time, but for smaller companies, that’s almost impossible.

Personally, I’m glad to have the BB2 in my hand to play with sooner as I have all my BB1 songs I can fiddle with while I wait. I care mostly about new drum sets and I’m not sure we’ll be seeing those for a while anyways. Autopilot was a bit of a disappointment if I’m being honest, but I can now build much larger drumsets which will broaden some of my song options and automations.

Anyway, go take your BB2 out of the box, you’ve got lots you can do while you wait.

Even though Singular said they wouldn’t do any more development for the BB1, my secret wish is still that someone could get autopilot working on the BB1. I don’t need a bigger pedal, and I don’t need bigger batteries either. I’d just like the promise made years ago to bring AP to the BB1 to actually be fulfilled—by Singular or anyone else. Over here, the BB2 sells for about €600, and the Superswitch is almost €200. €800 for an ā€œupdatedā€ product? That’s a rip-off. Thanks, but no thanks.

Yes, and maybe they needed to receive the item themselves to work with it and fix any flaws in the software once they had it in their hands. That would be understandable. It did give me time to somewhat learn the device and BBOM a bit. So I maybe now know what I am to do once it arrives. I’ve made plenty of mistakes including even accidentally erasing the original content from my SD Card. I’ve probably made every mistake I could make trying to transfer its content and the extra content I had on my BB1 onto a larger SD card. I’m hoping that I’ve grown through the growing pains and when it arrives, iI’ll probably know what to do with it. but I can’t fault anyone for being anxious to receive it. I know I am on that list.

Came back here wondering the same. I recieved my two cablis today and remebered seeing this post. Now Im wondering about the Beat boutique… Im guessing they needed to work on the new version

Yes, I believe there are 400+ Beat Buddies signing onto this forum today wondering the same question. Would’ve been nice to have had it for the holiday. Columbus came to America faster than this BB2 Bundle did. Lol

For my part, I’m really disappointed.

Since I have received the BB2, SS answer me to re-contact them if I don’t have any news end of the week. It’s what I do. And they send the same answer each week. Maybe I’ll receive 2 cablis, maybe not.

I’m waiting packs to download, the only add which push me to use the BB2. Because, be honestly, my BB1 does the same thing and I ask myself why I bought the BB2, I think it was a mistake…

No information, same mails every week, why stay with products of a company who doesn’t take care of its users ?

This afternoon my download links have arrived at last! I have downloaded them ready to begin a new project. Thank you SS. Appreciate youv’e had some issues to get these downloads to a decent working state for BB2. I can now repeat my unboxing of 3 weeks ago. Then gradually get myself transitioned from my BB1 to the new BB2 and get to grips with its new capabilities. Looking forward as well to my free Cabli’s arriving in the not too distant, I hope. The fun can finally begin!
