In lack of a dedicated swing knob on the BB hardware, I see a nice opportunity to add something like this on the digital side in the new BBMO MIDI editor. Most major DAWs have a global swing feature, which basically automatically offsets the offbeat steps in a sequence to give it more or less an intentional swing “feel.” Here’s someone’s breakdown of how it works in FL’s editor, for example.
With BB being primarily focused on beats, it makes sense to implement this simple feature and the ability to add swing (little or lots) to any song. Especially handy if you’re into using BB for Jazz or Hip-Hop, and eliminates the inconvenience of manually arranging notes to get that effect.
