BBMO not recognizing songs?

Hi Folks!

I just discovered something with BBMO.

Some background first, I have been gigging with my Beat Buddy since 2022 and played ~100 gigs with it. I have been using the original Beat Buddy Manager (not online!) for several years to arrange songs into sets and sync to several SD cards (I have a card for 1, 2, 3 & 4 hours sets plus backups for each). ALL of the songs (.sng files) have been downloaded from this forum (THANKS ALL!) and work seamlessly with the BB.

Recently, I have tired to move forward with BBMO. Today, I found that a few of the songs I have been using for years could not be recognized by BBMO. The error message is “bbmo.singularsound.com says Error reading song” and the name of the song file.

Has anyone else encountered this?

It works fine in the BB and with the “old” (unsupported) BBM.

Is there a fix on the way?

Hi, Andy_F. Here’s a link to the bug report: Songs exported from BBMO 2.0.4 do not import into the BBM

Singular Sound has been working on fixing this and a beta BBMO is available from this link: latest beta here

Songs exported from the BBM can now be imported into the BBMO. Last time I tested though, I could not import a song into the BBM that was exported from the BBMO. YMMV…

It’s really weird though that is only some songs. Most work fine!
