Well obviously the main difference to whoever deleted my post is that what I’ve written is pretty much buried in this thread whereas it was much more visible in its own thread - bit dodgy methinks! It can’t have been deleted just for duplication as for example ‘Marie Anderson’ had several posts about her headphone volume issue recently.
I was just about to say that was the next thing to fix. Thanks for telling! I was too busy in Frankfurt last week, and wasn’t able to check forums regularly (as I usually do).
Sorry for any inconvenience with double-posting, I’ve fixed them now!
P.s.: “Burying” something in a thread (as you say it) is not actually hiding stuff. Any internet search machines (like Google search) will easily find it and show your post in the results. I see and read all the posts, but I prefer having several meaningful topics with lots of posts all focused on one topic than to have a lot of topics with several posts that are all about the same just for “visibility”.
That’s not visibility, that’s cluttering!
Please see my thread at http://mybeatbuddy.com/forum/index.php?threads/beatbuddy-great-but-by-no-means-perfect-yet.3231/ for more details and a BB appraisal.
I made my several posts (one in each main area in the forms) in the hopes that someone would actually respond, since I had been unable to get any assistance when I initially emailed the company directly. My SINCERE apologies to anyone in this forum who felt that my desire to have my equipment in working order for my upcoming gigs were not as important as the gig they were attending (sarcastic message that I received). Every show I play, I get asked about my pedal and how I like it etc…so I would think that the company would appreciate positive feedback being given on their product (and Im sure that they do) but I understand that if you don’t work for the company, you could most likely care less about my issue as it doesn’t effect you. I would like to say thank you to Jay who responded to my issue with an explanation for the delay, and a tip that was helpful in alleviating the situation until the next firmware update is available. Because of some of the comments I received, Im honestly hesitant to even ask any more questions on here…even though I thought that was the whole point of a forum - share feedback, get help, ideas, etc…
There is no need for anyone to respond to this post, as most likely it will get deleted like yours did Klink…
I will do my best not to bother anyone in this forum again.
Dear Marie, I am really sorry if you feel that way. I already explained that I was in Frankfurt, and couldn’t respond to your posts quicker. Usually I read all of them.
But to be completely honest, just take a quick look here - http://mybeatbuddy.com/forum/index.php?threads/getting-an-error-that-head-phone-volume-is-6.2583/#post-11668.
You said you have a problem in a post #3, while the solution to your problem was already listed in the post directly above yours in #2. You could have initially solved your problem right away if you just paid more attention to reading than posting! You actually confirmed that post #2 was your solution here - http://mybeatbuddy.com/forum/index.php?posts/11919/ almost a week later.
We put our best to help you, but the matter of the fact is noone could help you better than yourself.
This is not a Beatbuddy issue, this is a Flashback x4 issue - I’ve been trying to get them to work on it for a WHILE now - check out my posts on the Flashback forum, http://forum.tcelectronic.com/topic/17203/pretty-please-with-sugar-on-top-enable-looper-midi-on-the-flashback-x4/ I’m hoping they can do something with their firmware - it seems like it would be a fairly simple fix, since they are midi enabled for the delay, you would think they could enable the looper as well. I’m wondering if Daefactor might be able to help them? I’m posting this same message as a reply to one of his posts.
the rc 50 is crap at midi sync as a slave , as the master it should be fine …
Hey Yeah Mike read all your posts! There looked to be a possible light at the end of the tunnel but I actually went for the infinity instead (over the rang III). It works really well, might make a video of my own soon. I’ve just got one dilemma. When I pause/unpause the BB it also stops/starts the loops, which is cool but: I don’t want the loops to start again if they were previously stopped. So example, I have a loop waiting in the infinity for later in the song, I pause the drums, bring them back in, and the loops start (both loops infact) even though they weren’t playing before. It’s my ONLY issue, any ideas?
Hello Beat-Buddys: What is a good “Looper”, with Midi-.Sync.? As I heard, “Boss” can only work as the “Master”, not slave … ??? I try to be “in time” with the Boss RC1, but sooner or later it is out of time.
Members on here have reported that the Rang III, Infinity, and VoiceLive3 sync pretty well. There are discussions in each of those device forums regarding the BB so it’s worth checking them out as well.
It will be impossible, to sync with RC 1 , since it has no Midi… With RC50 and RC 300 you can use BB as slave, but my experiences are also not so good with Boss RC`s. I changed both for Pigtronix Infinity, what can only be used as slave(BB as master). This works absolutely perfect for me. Other members here quotet for the Boomerang looper, which I never tried.
Theres another treat in this forum to make Digitech Jamman syncable… I also never tried.
+1 on the Infinity. Works perfectly. There may be other good choices but it’s hard to go wrong with the Infinity.
And another +1 for the Infinity
Is there anyway possible to sync beat buddy with jamman solo? by using USB/MIDI interface?
This link may help you…: http://mybeatbuddy.com/forum/index.php?threads/synchronising-jamman-looper-and-beatbuddy-seems-possible.4303/#post-14784
Good luck!
has anyone ever tried a soundbite micro to sync there loopers with? does it work? thanks.
See the other thread that was posted. It works great with the Custom Live Electronics SyncMan device! Even with the cost of that, it’s a far less expensive option than some of the others mentioned. Plus, once one JamMan device is synced, you can link up others in a chain.
do you have a demo video of what this sounds like? is it good?
I haven’t posted any demo videos of the Digitech JamMan Solo XT syncing up with the Neat Buddy via the SyncMan device, but it syncs great (I run the outputs separately so the BeatBuddy is not running through the JamMan looper. But when I was experimenting and trying that, it stays very synced, with a slight flange-y tone occasionally as the MIDI clock/sync very slightly varies.)
Depending on the MIDI loop and tempo (a lot of the MIDI files that I download and adapt are set at double the actual BPM tempo at 4 beats/measure). the SyncMan flashes its LED either once or twice per measure. And when you hit on the JamMan, it waits until the next one to start recording - thus it is extremely easy to get the loop starting exactly on the 1st beat of the measure. Closing the loop and playback work the same way. You can, for example stop the JamMan on its own while the BeatBuddy continues playing and then restart it later on the 1st beat very easily.
And the JamSync reads the MIDI stop command that the BeatBuddy sends when pausing or finishing a song and sends a stop signal to the JamMan. If you want to restart playing a loop on the JamMan though, you have to do it manually.
It’s sort of crazy that Digitech used a proprietary “JamSync” system for their JamMan series when they could have just used MIDI and sold more units! It’s the same thing with their (and other company’s) multi-effects pedals. They actually run MIDI commands internally and you can control some MIDI functionality from the USB port, but it requires some sleuthing/hacking.
very useful much appreciated, think im going to buy one. Looked up a web page AS plan B, about setting preset tempos manually, but seems too complicated and requires patience. do you think this could be used in a live setting?
