Coordinated BeatBuddy and Aeros Songs and Song Parts

See this spreadsheet for a lot of details: Singular Sound MIDI Commands - Google Sheets

There are two tabs in the spreadsheet. One for Aeros and the other for BB.

CC:113 Transition
Transition to Selected Part 0 Starts transition to the currently selected part in 6x6. This command is used in conjunction with CC113 values 1-6, 126, and 127 to allow toggling through parts before starting the transition.
Change Part 1-6 Selects the part according to the value number sent (part # = value #). The Aeros will not transition until it receives CC113 value 0 (shown above). . If using the BeatBuddy, the CC:102 command will change the part to the selected Aeros part immediately. If the part doesn’t exist in the song, the Aeros will ignore the command. This command cannot start the Aeros from a stopped state.

There are more options for CC 113 in the document.

Yes, please. Where do I find the various MIDI commands (CC:113 and value 0 )on my Beatbuddy? I am in MIDI out, but don’t see any CC or PC stuff. I want to advance to the next song on Aeros when I advance the Beatbuddy to its next song. I wish there was a blog or video that would explain this stuff in simple terms with explicit directions to an old boomer like myself.

For help with MIDI commands, you can send an email to support@singularsound.com

I should be OK, now. Thank you, Daniel for the instructions.

Excuse me I have other question…

When I change the parts on Aeros directly then it play the part till the end of the loop.. when I change with MM and CC113- then it changed after the next beat interval !!!???

What the reason?

Greetings

Ali

With CC113, you have different options depending on the value you choose. You can change parts immediately or based on the Aeros settings.

For more detailed information on the CC113 message, please refer to this spreadsheet.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if the Beatbuddy could send the CC 113 values 1-6 to the Aeros before the end of a 6x6 song part so that the Aeros could transition without the need for the user to select it manually while a song is playing? The Beatbuddy already sends out related MIDI instructions to the Aeros so this would seem like an obvious feature to design into the system. More-so now that BB2 has autopilot capability.
