The decision to purchase the separate device is up to you, but it seems that it may take some time for our programmer to address the MIDI merge issue, due to the fact that he (and his team) are currently focusing all their efforts on the software side of the looper and the Maestro.
I wish that I could give a better answer than that, however at the moment it looks like that this is the current timeline.
I will of course update you (either here or via PM) if we get lucky and receive an earlier than anticipated fix.
