Just received Beat Buddy today. There’s quite a list to go through. I am looking for a simple tap foot to keep time. The old folk blues guitarist called them stomp boxes. They would either be made of wood, and I have heard sometimes an old cigar box was used. It gave the foot keeping time a more bass sound, and worked well in that genre of music.
Does Beat Buddy have anything like that? So, far although impressed by what is available, I haven’t found anything that simple. Yes, the metronome is simple but it’s not the same sound,…. Metronome 9n Beat Buddy sounds electronic/digital. Catfish Keith, used an old stomp box for awhile, if anyone would like a reference to what I am talking about. (Not sure if he still does.) The old stomp box accentuated the sound of a tapping foot making it sound more like a drum.
Yes, the sound is defined by the drum set, so by changing drum set the sound will change too But I’m not sure which instrument the metronome is in other drum sets
It could be that other drumsets don’t have anything at that position which would result with no sound Or it could be a bass drum or anything.
If there is no sound or the instrument is not what you want then that is easy to change with the BBMO using the midi editor
