What drumset is meant for this song? I’m having trouble with bass notes overlapping each other and sounding like a mess.
Some of the older kits were not developed for use with note off bass notes and therefore are not interchangeable with newer kits that were developed with note offs in mind. That’s why you were getting the hinky sounding bass.
Yup. I’ll probably remove the bass and turn the drums into a Percussion beat. Go for an unplugged style.
