Hello, I just recently saw that the above is an option but I cannot find directions for how to do it. I looked in BBMO (as well as Legacy version) and couldn’t find how to do it in there either. I also looked in the Beatbuddy Loader. If you’ve seen GOOD instruction (that I somehow missed) or have done this process yourself… any pointers would be greatly appreciated. And when looking in the Effects Folder, I see no obvious place where Global Accents would reside.
The manual doesn’t truly explain the process either… so please, no RTFM comments.
There’s a lot of helpful information on the forum. I searched using ACCENT HITS and I found quite a bit of information that I used along with the BBMO User Manual (I found several results when searching for GLOBAL). Sometimes you just have to combine what you find from the two sources.
For example, you can find a zip file with accent hits in the forum support page for the BeatBuddy (BB) Downloads. Download and unzip that folder to your desktop.
The BBMO manual gets you pointed in the right direction but there may be a spot or two that could have been presented more clearly.
Gonna start kind of bassackwards and suggest you check p35 of the BBMO User Manual as it tells you how to set a GLOBAL ACCENT HIT on your pedal. It’ll give you an idea if you even have any accent hits available already. You can set the global accent hit on the pedal.
If you don’t find any accent hits available on your pedal or if what is there isn’t to your liking, openthe BBMO and drag one of the accent hits from the ACCENT HITS folder on your desktop to the spot in the attached screen shot
The next screen shows my library of accent hits that I’ve already added and can choose from when building or adding a new accent hit to part 2 of a song
You can set the accent hit volume
You can use the Accent Hits stacked dots menu to perform other functions as well
There’s nothing stopping you from using your own wav files either. Singular Sound recommends using 16-bit wav to keep the size of your songs down. For example, I’ve used a train whistle and Vincent Price laugh wav files when building various songs.
That’s exactly what I was missing! (Face-Palm) I didn’t even realize there was a point beyond just changing BB from Default to Global. Thank you so much!!! Now I have figure out how to access them with Midi Maestro.
Thank you Persist! Super appreciated. I just knew it would be too simple. NYHC hit the nail on the head. I somehow missed the extra steps after setting to Global with BB itself. Yeah…easy. I’m Lo-key embarrassed but now can’t figure out how to access via Midi Maestro.
