That’s cool! By the way, you can upload the files directly to the forum now! And you can also inline them to the text conveniently

Thanks so much for the songs. I’m behind on my MIDI knowledge and will be working to do the same and share my songs with the board as well. The ones I’ve downloaded of yours so far sound great!

Thanks Warren. It’s been a bit of a learning curve but good fun. Wish I had a bit more time. I use reaper and its pretty easy to use. I have used a mixture of editing free midi’s available for more popular songs, beats and fills off of beatbuddy tracks and making my own from scratch. The free midi’s generally require a lot of editing especially moving midi notes to the proper postion so the beatbuddy will play that note. EG alot of midi put the snare on midi 40 and the default note is midi 38 on the beatbuddy.
The fills are good fun and generally I take the last four bars of a beat and experiment with throwing beats in and moving them around till I find the sound I can hear in my head.
Another technique has been watching youtube drum covers of the songs and matching the midi to that as you can see exactly what is going on.

Thanks for your hard work Stu …good job, …can’t wait to try them out…
been trying to find my Cakewalk cd to bust apart my midi files for beats…
I’ve got 1000’s of complete midis to work with…I used mostly drum & bass in a 2 guitar duo
…hard drive crashed yrs ago …never thought I’d need it again …Arghh ! :?

This is awesome Stu!!! Thanks!!!

By the way, you can export the folder in the BeatBuddy Manager – that may be more convenient than uploading a bunch of individual songs… or you can give us both options

Pretty generous of you to do this. I would like to know how to create a midi file so I could post and share to this group as well. Do you think you might have some guidance or a simple tutorial for a beginner noob song?

A native MIDI editor will come into the BBManager. Soon. Probably it will be easier for you then

Hello Guitar Stu, Awesome videos and great job on the songs you created for the beatbuddy. can you add jenny jenny to your list on here
Thanks again for sharing I will put some up soon as I get to know how to program the songs.
I have only had mine for 4 days

Added a download option to allow you to download the folder with all the songs in it instead of downloading each song.

PBF ? … what opens that type of file Stu?
A Beat Buddy .ext?

Save the PBF to your computer then you have to open beatbuddy manager, use the import folder in the import-export dropdown and locate file

(Y) thanks … hard to update files …have to rely on dates posted.

Stu, When I come to this forum, this thread is the first page I open every time. I check out the new work you have uploaded. You have provided us all with an amazing resource and I thank you very much for your contribution.

I play in a duo and a lot of the songs in your lists are in our setlists also. We are so very grateful for all your hard work and your generous gift to this Beatbuddy community.

So Thank You very much.

Yes thank you so much Stu. How will we know when you update it with more songs

You just have to check back in I supose. There will be a few more done in the next couple of weeks till I have done all the songs I want and then there will only be new songs when I learn them with my band.

This thread is far too useful to not be a sticky!
