For some strange reason last week I noticed that the BB was playing songs with some parts missing - ie kick drum plays ok but not some of the other kit parts like high hats and/or cymbals (maybe more I haven’t discovered yet… This means that most of the songs on the SD sound weird on playback…
I thought this may have been a corrupt file on the SD card or a change in settings so I restored BB default settings, and created a new SD from the default files on Singular Sound downloads… No joy there, so I have reformatted another SD card as per the "Pedal does not power on " sticky. Still no improvement.
This fault is the same regardless of drum kits.
I have recently been adjusting MIDI settings on the BB with the intention of controlling it from a Boss RC-500. Could it be that there was a MIDI command which “turned off” some of the kit parts. MIDI cable is now disconnected - fault still there. Also recently upgraded the firmware to the latest, so maybe I need to revert to an earlier version
The songs on the SD card play perfectly when played on BB Manager so it surely can’t be missing midi files…
I’m at a loss about this and any ideas would be gratefully appreciated
Just making sure you are talking about BBM and not BBMO, right?
The problem you describe sounds like it could be related to BBMO
Another guess would be that if you use BBM on a Mac. I’ve heard BBM on Mac is experiencing more and more bugs as Mac is getting more updates But I don’t know what kinds of bugs there are
Thanks for the help… I’ve already reset to defaults with no improvement. As stated the songs/drumsets all work perfectly using BBM so I don’t think there’s an issue with that side. But if it helps I’ll do that tomorrow

If you have not edited any of the songs or drum sets, then just post the song and drum set titles you used and I’ll try to replicate it on my pedal. If you have edited them, then please zip and provide. If you can’t post the drum set to the forum due to size limit, please provide a link to it from Google Drive, Amazon, Dropbox, WeTransfer etc.
Hey Dave, if you’re using a single mono out on the BB, try the other output jack (ex: if using the left out, try the right out). Perhaps the instruments you’re not hearing are panned in such a way they are on the opposite side of the output you’re using which may not be noticeable in BBM.
The reason I’m suggesting this is an issue that I posted back a few years ago as described in the thread link below. Whether your problem is related/similar I don’t know and I ‘think’ this was addressed and fixed in a firmware update. The Left/Mono out should work properly on drumkits created by SS.
After exhausting all options with the BB itself I started checking cables etc… I discovered that drum output was perfect when I connected directly to my amp…. Aha!
Turns out that I had inadvertently changed the settings on my Bose Tonematch T8S for the BB channel and had overdone the Gate Threshold settings which resulted in only allowing some notes through - Problem Solved!
