In preparation for the BeatBuddy software, I’ve been downloading free MIDI Drum files. It seems that some of these files are tailored to specific drum machine software such as EZ Drummer, FCB3, etc…Can you confirm what format will work with your software when available?

Actually, you can read MIDI format specification as it is rather simple.
While “tailoring” or customizing it to specific devices is possible via adding proprietary MIDI sections, it is rather easy to check this out.
If the MIDI file is being opened and played by Windows correctly, then this MIDI file is ok to use with the BeatBuddy.
P.s.: I believe Macs also have a way to play MIDI files without using specialized editors. If this can be done, it will mean the same - the file will be ok to use.
