MIdi import missing notes for Drum and Bass kits

i’m exporting from finale 26 and sometimes from logic in order to get my drum midi files. Upon importing them to BB it often leaves notes out of the bass part.

Example:

Bass line has to eighth notes of the same pitch on the first and third beats of the measure. It always leaves out the second eighth note.

I’ve tried different drum and bass kits- no change.
when I look at the file via editing in BBM it does indeed show only half of the notes.

When I pull the file back into logic, both notes are there. same velocity and everything plays normally in logic.

However, when I edit in BBM it only shows and plays one of each of the eighth notes.

Is there something I am doing something wrong here?

maybe this is some kind of bug of the program?

With consecutive notes at the same pitch, make sure to create a bit of space between the notes. If the note off and note on commands are occurring at the same time, BBM will ignore the note on command. The space doesn’t need to be large. A gap of a few midi ticks or a 1/64th note should no the trick.
