CUBASE 3 Older program but works great for midi deep editing.
Primarily, Logic Pro X. If I have an existing usable midi file, I can do everything I need to in that program. (Open file. Transpose bass. Merge bass and drum tracks.) Sometimes I need to end an ending. If I have no existing midi, I enter chords into Band In A Box and use it to create the midi file. Then open the midi file from Logic Pro X and do the editing.
SONAR is my program of choice, I’ve been using some version/flavor of Cakewalk or SONAR for many years (early 90’s). Very fully functional DAW environment with great MIDI authoring and editing capabilities.
