Missing label on new BB2. Need management to answer

I received my Beatbuddy 2 ordered from Sweetwater online music store. I’m very pleased with my BB2, I have a flaw that your quality control system, or your Chinese manufacturer failed to catch when they packed my BB2. The side where the three outputs are on my BB2, the L/R output and the Headphone jack is missing any labeling over the output jacks. Who do I call or talk with about this issue, and how do we make it right?

While it’s good to have SS in the loop, I would contact Sweetwater about an exchange which I’m guessing may be the quickest way to resolve the lack of labels. You likely have a sales engineer that worked with your order and he/she can check a replacement unit before it’s shipped to you. Sweetwater has always been great to deal with for me and I do like their extra 2 year warranty on gear. I hope they are still doing the bag of candy with orders they ship.

I got two bags of candy inside the package. Thanks for your help and info.

I’ve talked to Sweetwater and they have placed a request for someone in support to call or contact me about a possible replacement. Again thanks for your help Mark.

Sweetwater is finding a new BB2 to send as a replacement for the one I have. They told me to use the one I have until they ship me the new one to replace the non tattooed BB2. Thanks for your advice.

Why have I not received any response from the SS at customer support? I sent 2 different emails on Thursday last week to tell them about the missing labeling on my Beatbuddy 2. I believe they owe it to the customer to at least, respond. I haven’t been able to register my BB2, or copy my SD card and do all the things you get to do with a new product you buy. Please pass this information on to management so I can get busy producing my music with the help of my chosen drum machine/pedal.

Have no idea why you’re not getting a reply yet. However, I do know that Support usually answers email queries in the order received so this could be an indicator that they’re quite busy.

Brennan stated that you can use the online warranty registration to select the original BeatBuddy as the option and it will cover your BeatBuddy 2.

Hi there,

No worries — it’s actually the serial number that activates the warranty, not the missing label itself.
Since you’ll be getting a new BeatBuddy 2 from Sweetwater, just register its new serial number when it arrives. You’ll end up with two BB2s on your account — looks like you’re starting a drummer’s duo!

Just wondering… what’s stopping you from making music right now? The missing labels? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
Seriously though, the lack of a label doesn’t stop your BeatBuddy 2 from rocking — feel free to start playing while waiting for the replacement to arrive.

And if you happen to reach management… make sure to tell them I’m very interested in your first BeatBuddy 2 missing its label — half price, naturally!
I don’t shy away from scoring a collector’s BB2 without a sticker. Must have way more groove that way, don’t you think?

I never registered the defective un-labeled Beatbuddy 2. I just received my replacement BB2 from Sweetwater a few minutes ago and it’s picture perfect and plays the blues 2 patch very well. Now I will register it and get on bbm to start learning more about the different drum
Kits and patches. I’m definitely gonna need y’all’s Help.

It will be returned to Sweetwater tomorrow for someone to get a good deal as an open box price on it.

I have notified support about this thread, we apologize that there is not a response, please let them get back to you

Importantly Randy…. did Sweetwater send more bags of candy with the replacement BB2?

Not even a sucker!!
Maybe they thought I was an upon big fat boy who didn’t need a sack of candy to make me happy.
15 months ago I weighed 384 pounds! I now weigh in at 253 or thereabouts. But I did enjoy those two baggies of candy. I even shared some with my wife.

I’m glad to have my 2 new Beatbuddy 2, and get to learn more about it.

Hi Randy,

Thank you for reaching out. I just want to clarify the timeline so we’re on the same page: you initially reached out to us on Friday, and I responded to you on Monday. You even replied to my response, so I’m unsure what you mean by not receiving any response from Singular Sound customer support.

I’ve just sent you a follow-up email right now. Please let me know if you did not receive it, or if there was any misunderstanding, or if perhaps your initial message was sent to a different email address. I want to make sure this issue is fully taken care of so you can get back to producing music with your new BeatBuddy 2.

I’m sorry but I was new to the format and didn’t recognize that you were someone within the SS company or an admin. Everything is alright on my end. I received my replacement BB2 from Sweetwater yesterday afternoon. My replacement BB2 looks great and so far sounds great. Unfortunately I don’t have a Mac or a windows computer. I have an older IPAD and a IPHONE 15 Pro Max. I have bought the USB-C SD card reader for my iPhone. I still don’t quite understand how to get it all together and working, but I know the Forum has many who can help me. I apologize for posting that I’ve had no response from SS and I appreciate you reaching out to me.
Thanks

In this case, look into the BBFF. It’s an app for iOS and Android that replicates the functions of the BBMO which is essential for managing BeatBuddy (BB) songs, drums and projects.
