Pause song and Accent Hit in the same button

Hi everyone!

I’d like to ask if it’s possible to assign the right button on the BeatBuddy 2 to stop the song while triggering an Accent Hit at the same time.

At the moment, I have to use the Singular Sound Footswitch+ and press two buttons simultaneously: one to stop the song and another to trigger the Accent Hit.

It would be really useful to have both commands assigned to a single button, so I could end a song with, for example, a crash cymbal and stop the playback at the same time.

Is there currently any way to configure this, or could this be considered as a future feature?

Thanks!

Hello,

Currently, this is not possible. If you would like to see this added, please post a feature request.

As a workaround, you could achieve this by sending a MIDI command to the BeatBuddy, which you can do with the MIDI Maestro, for example.

There is a workaround for what you’d like to achieve but it does not involve the Accent Hit. Instead, you have a couple of choices using the BBMO:

  • add a crash to the end of the Outro of a song, or,
  • replace the notes in an Outro with a single crash

Otherwise, as Support suggested, you might want to ask for a new feature.

Sí, yo lo haría más natural y directo, como alguien escribiendo en el foro:

Thanks! The problem is that during a live performance I need to stop and resume the song quite often, right in the middle of the song. When I stop it without an Accent Hit, it sounds a bit weird and abrupt.

That’s why I think having an Accent Hit automatically triggered when stopping and resuming the song would be really useful for me.

I’ll submit the feature request and hopefully it can be considered for a future update!

Thanks for the help!

Okay, thanks! I’ll post the feature request in that section.

Thanks for the information!
