Mike - I’ve had the Beatbuddy for 4 days now and I’ve spent quite a bit of time learning it and I’m pretty much sold on it. I have found that it is not that hard to edit beats using the editor built into the Management software. Of course there is a bit of a learning curve to get comfortable with the software but I am pretty happy with the results so far and I think it’s only going to get better since they do seem to be aware of the need many have for generic and simple plug and play rhythms and I believe they will continue to improve the content of their libraries. That’s my 2 cents.
There’s an editor in the management software now? That’s great news! The number of times I wished only for that - so I can thin out the original patterns. When I have time though, now I’m just programming my new Korg Liverpool arranger keyboard style by style…
The BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) MIDI Editor is only good for very light editing.
