Quick Program Change hardware buttons

Hi, Im doing a Dueling Pianos gig and when a song is requested, I would like to be able to press a single button to call up a, for example, plain rock beat and then I dial the tempo on the footswitch. Then there may be a different request and then I need a shuffle beat. I would have a another button for a shuffle. I don’t need a ton but I am just trying to save time on the bandstand to not lose momentum. I dont want to waste time scrolling through the BB. I am using Onsong with MIDI PC data embedded already for all the charts I have - its just the requested tunes that I dont have a setup for. Would the Maestro on custom mode be the best for this or a different 3rd party hardware work better? Any other Dueling Piano players have any thoughts? Thanks!

In my opinion, the best option for this would simply be using OnSong. In OnSong, you can program it to open a specific song on the BeatBuddy, and you can also change the tempo.

If you need any help setting this up, feel free to email support@singularsound.com and include the link to this forum conversation for reference.

For dialing in the tempo, it depends on which BeatBuddy you are using. With a BB1, you can easily change the tempo using an EXP pedal and the MIDI Maestro. With a BB2, you can connect the EXP pedal directly to the BB2 and control the tempo that way.
