Hey, I’m sorry if this has been posted already or solved, but I searched and didn’t find anyone who has the same issue, so I’d like to ask.
Here’s the situation
I’m using BBMO (like how i did from the beginning where everything was fine), i’d search a song on the song matcher (for this example, let’s say Killing Me Softly by Fugees), so I’d search it from the song matcher, find that it’s Funk 7 - 92 bpm, so ill go BBMO, find Funk 7, duplicate it, set to 92 bpm, rename it, then move to my set list folder… But after that, the song just disappears, tried many times, same result. tried search, tried opening the folders 1 by 1, but its nowhere to be found, and my UI is still on the song Killing Me Softly, but the song file is not there anymore. And I don’t have a way to save it as a new song. Just do it all again, find funk 7, duplicate, set bpm, rename, then move folder, for it to just disappear again. Please help. Thank you.
I just tested following your exact steps and cannot replicate your symptoms. My song appears in the specified folder after the move.
I also created a new Playlist and added the song there and it appears in the Playlist as well.
Some things to try:
Save Project after each step. Do not move Killing Me Softly to a different folder just yet. Quit the BBMO and then relaunch it.
is Killing Me Softly still in the Funk folder?
try playing it and if it plays, stop the song
now move the song to your new folder; there are two ways to move a song:
o use the stacked dots besides the song name or
o drag and drop to your new folder
There’s an offhand chance that you’ve corrupted your project folder. If that’s the case, you might want to start with a clean slate using a new project:
download and unzip the default content file to your desktop
in the BBMO, click the X next to SINGULAR SOUND in the upper right and you should now have the BBMO splash screen
click Open Project and navigate to and select the unzipped folder on your desktop and press Open
you should now have a new BBMO project on your desktop (you can move it to your Documents folder later)
try to create Killing Me Softly and move it to your Setlist folder
did the process work?
If you’re still having trouble, how about making a video of your process. You can zip and attach it in reply, here or you can forward it to Support, support@singularsound.com with a link to this thread.
Please let us know what you did to get it working so other users can benefit from what you learned.
Thank you for the detailed help and instructions persist!
If I remember correctly, the issue was that the folder was full, which is why the song didn’t show up. Moving the song to a folder with fewer than 127 songs helped resolve the issue.
That said, it’s also possible that I’m confusing two posts, so it’s possible that that was another case.
Thank you so much @persist for your response, but @DanielSingularSound got it right, i had sent an email to the support from beatbuddy and that was the issue, i had more than 127 songs in that folder already. Thank you Daniel and Persist.
