Sync tempo

Hi everyone,

I’m having a sync issue between my BeatBuddy (firmware 4.1.6) and my Aeros Loop Studio (firmware 5.2.1). The Aeros is set as the MIDI master, and both devices show the same tempo.

My problem is: I often want to start the Aeros first (for example, to record a bass part), and then launch the BeatBuddy afterward. But if I don’t hit the BB pedal at the exact right moment, it starts slightly off, even though the tempo is correct.

At home it’s not a big deal, but live in front of people, it’s stressful.

Is there a way for the BeatBuddy to auto-sync to the Aeros’ active tempo, so that even if I start the BB slightly off, it locks into the Aeros’ timing?

Thanks in advance!

When the Aeros is Master, the BB automatically obeys the Aeros’s commands. So you must be missing a setting somewhere, probably on the BB.

Hello,

What is your physical MIDI setup? Which device’s OUT is connected to which device’s IN?

Let’s say you have Device A’s OUT connected to Device B’s IN, and Device B’s OUT connected to Device C’s IN, you would write it like this: Device A (OUT) > (IN) Device B (OUT) > (IN) Device C.

Like Marco76 say, you missing a setting
Go to Aeros settings>Midi ,>Midi out
Check if you are as “Transmitter”
Scroll down until you see “Start” set this “ON”

cable need to be
Aeros Out to Beatbuddy IN

Thanks. It works as long as I have “start” on. The baby starts at the same time as the Aeros. But what I wanted to do was start the Aeros, and then start the baby.
But I want to start the baby if I’m out of sync, I thought there was a way to synchronize the two while they’re running.

Currently, you can either have the BeatBuddy or the Aeros as the master, meaning one starts the other, but not both ways simultaneously. If you start one device, it can trigger the other, but not vice versa. Let me know if you have any more questions about this!
