How do I change to a different time signature?
Although you can change the time signature within the BeatBuddy Manager (BBM) using the MIDI Editor within the BBM, when you listen to the beat on the BBM, the time signature remains unchanged (but I think that when you synchronize your project to the BBM, it will be changed on the pedal. Please don’t hold me to this last statement, though). You open the MIDI Editor in the BBM by right- or control-clicking on the beat part that you want to edit—a drop down appears and select Edit . . .

If you’re transcribing a song from a MIDI source file, it’s probably better to set or change a time signature using a DAW (digital audio workstation). When you add the MIDI to the BBM, it will automatically pick up the time signature from the MIDI track that you exported from the DAW.
