Hi, on the new BeatBuddy 2, it would be really cool and useful if the Pause/Unpause switch could not only pause/unpause the song but also trigger an accent hit if one is present for the current part.

I accomplish this with the 2-button external footswitch. One button is Pause/Unpause, and the second is the accent hit. I frequently hit both together to add a cymbal hit when pausing/unpausing. I use a two button switch from Sweetfoot pedals. Very small (size of a mini effects pedal) and works great.
Yes. If you are not using the second foot switch port as a velocity pedal.

I have enough trouble hitting the correct single button while playing guitar and singing let alone hitting two at the same time
