Aeros badly clipping with Fender Tonemaster Pro

hi folks, this is my first time posting here.
i’ve always put Aeros at the end of my signal chain in the effects loop of my amp and have had great results.
i recently got a Fender Tonemaster Pro & their 10” FRFR cabinet. when i run Aeros after the amp and all the mod effects in loop 3 or 4 of the Tonemaster i get horrible clipping. it’s like the post power amp signal is hitting the Aeros instead of the post pre-amp signal. when i put the Aeros in front of the amp it works fine but i lose the ability to capture my mod effects in the loop.
any advice on how to set this up correctly would be much appreciated.
thanks, Mark

I have a Tone Master FR-12 and an Aeros Loop Studio. It has never occurred to me to connect the FR-12 output to the input of the Aeros. But I just looked into it.

The problem, I think, is the TM FR balanced, line level output signal is too strong for the input of the Aeros. You could turning the gain down on the mixer of the Aeros, but a better solution would be a DI box to reduce the signal from the TM FR.

edit: I see I am a year late. I am quite new to the forum and I was reading the posts hoping to pickup some tips, when I saw this post. I didn’t read the date.

Harry: He doesn’t seem to mean the output after the Tone Master FR—he clearly says he connects the Aeros in the FX loop. Poweramp and preamp are only mentioned in the context of modeling.

As I plan to combine the Aeros with the Tone Master Pro, I’d appreciate any user feedback: audio connection (loop, clipping? third-party mixer?), MIDI, integration.

Ok, just ordered an Aeros
Will update this thread about using the Aeros together with the Tone Master Pro (can’t wait)

my original issue was addressed in subsequent updates from both SS & Fender that enhanced input and output level controls. it’s worked great since.
Cheers, Mark
