I was wondering following the launch of BeatBuddy 2 whether we are likely to see Aeros Loop Studio 2 in the foreseeable future?
I really hope not - so much still not working at the original one. The lagging just get worse with each update.
If so, this is due to either suboptimal code, or properly implemented firmware improvements increasing demands on the hardware. If the latter, an Aeros 2 might be the only fix.
Difficult to say anything about the technical side – when it was released it seemed like a state-of-the-art powerhouse of a pedal. But that’s many years ago now, so maybe you’re right. Still by far the most expensive pedal I’ve ever bought and never really worked smoothly. The software has always been a bit strange, some decisions I really don’t understand, things you have to do in a very “backward” way and just not very user friendly. Maybe the software must be completely rewritten from scratch to work. Hope they’ll make one more big update and fix some of these issues before launching a version 2.
