Hey everyone,
I’m running into a weird issue with my Aeros and wondering if anyone else has seen this.
When I take an already recorded song and try to add MIDI info (to link it with a BeatBuddy song), the changes don’t get saved.
Here’s what I’m doing:
I go to Song Settings → MIDI Out Control → set a value in MIDI LSB Out (value decreased by 1 compared to the BeatBuddy numbering), then set MIDI PC Out as well.
I hit Save, but when I open the song again, all those MIDI values are gone.
If I create a new song and do exactly the same steps, everything saves perfectly.
All firmware is up to date.
I’m now on version 5.4.3, but it seems it was happening on the previous version too
So, to be exact, when I went back through the history, I noticed that with the second-to-last Aeros update, all my connections to the BB disappeared. The worst part was that I couldn’t get them back. I had to recreate those tracks from scratch, and after that, saving worked fine. So clearly, something changed. It’s not a big deal, but definitely annoying.
Ok, so just to clarify, your claim is that in v5.3.4 (currently on wifi) the version changed your MIDI out settings? These were the only settings you noticed changed?
I never wait for the wifi version, I update by SD, so certainly 5.3.4 then now 5.4.3. And yes, when I updated, my midi BB rhythm assignment settings disappeared. And even when I tried to put them back it was not saved, something that drives me crazy. I had to redo the tracks entirely, as explained above.
I’m going to do the same and revert back to version 5.2.1.
This is a very good advice, and I have managed to recover my previous tracks.
Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed to have lost them during the updates, but I hope this older firmware will be more stable for my workflow.
