Aeros randomly stops responding to Midi

I am having trouble getting the Aeros to respond to midi consistently. I’ve had my Aeros for some time, and this issue has been going on for a long time, but it is intermittent and just when I’m ready to give up it will work again…only to fail again the next day. Last night I sat down to play after work. Aeros responded to midi for about 5min. Then, it just stopped.

I’ve tried everything over time (yes including changing my cable). It is very strange. I’d say half the time it works perfectly. But then it will randomly stop working. Or, it is a coin flip whether it will work each time I sit down to play.

I’m controlling the Aeros with an MC8pro. My pedalboard sits between the MC8 and Aeros, but I shouldn’t have any issues from this since all my other midi pedals are on different channels from the Aeros AND I have a few things after the Aeros that reliably respond to midi without any problem.

I’m at my wits end. Love the Aeros, but don’t love that I can’t rely on it when I want to use it.

Anyone else faced this? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

If you’re not using firmware 5.3.4, you might want to give that a try.

Isolate the issue by removing your other MIDI pedals from the MIDI data path and connect the Aeros to only your MC8 Pro. Test it this way and see if the problem is still happening.

If it does continue to happen, you might want to video the issue as it happens, zip the video and either post it here or send it to Support, support@singularsound.com with a link to this thread.
