I recently bought a EHX 1440 and find it far more intuitive with the BB than the Aeros. Perhaps I’m not getting the best out of the Aeros, but I’ve owned countless loopers over a twenty year period and I’ve never had an issue laying down a rhythm track for a track like Layla for instance, anyone else encountered this, please advise? I’m bout ready to move Aeros on, thanks in advance for any advice recieved, J
I had a 1440 and found it unreliable with the BB live gigging. I use the BB as the master in my setup. I gig quite a bit and 95% plus of my duos music is live looped. I found the 1440 quirky, maybe they have done a firmware update. I know, no help to your question. I was just surprised it is working for you though.
I don’t have an Aeros, I use a Boomerang. I think the Aeros looks like the panacea of loopers, I just don’t want to spend the money. ![]()
Thanks for reply, yes agree, 1440 is not without its quirks, but still better for me, at fraction of the price of the Aeros, which means, I’m not as precious about someone with a drink leaning over the board at a gig to utter something..ha..I wouldn’t mind if the Aeros was doing the basics for me, that’s required by 99% percentage of the giggers out there playing covers with a BB. We don’t need 6 layer of ambient enlightenment, reverse, speed up, slow down, jump up-jump up and get down… I reckon the first company that makes a two track /midi sync/no frills, small footprint looper will sell hundred million units, likewise a stomp kick with automation. Youre not the first I’ve heard speak fondly of the Boomerang, unfortunately they’re hard to come by over this side of the pond. How and ever, there’s a fair chance that I’m not getting the most from the Aeros, there’s multiple configurations, but there in lies the tale. No one accept yourself has replied to my queries, hopefully someone else will pitch in and politely point out I’m an idiot, and it’s actually rather straight forward….ah jeez…ha
