Audio gap in loops after saving song in firmware 5.2

I think this is better explained by a picture, but after saving a song, all the loops get a gap at the end before the inseam. It seems that the loops are “ruined” and I have to re-record all of them. I attach a picture of this.

Hi there,

This seems like an issue with your Aeros changing tempo due to a Tempo mismatch. Make sure when recording and when playing back that you do not modulate the tempo of the device sending clock to the Aeros.

If this is not the case, please forward all steps to reproduce and information/images to support@singularsound.com so we can help you further.

Thanks for reporting!

Hi Brennan,
Thanks for replying, but in my case I wasn’t modulating the MIDI clock. I did have a MIDI cable connected from a MIDI footswitch controller into the MIDI In, but I kept the device off all the time. I just discovered the MIDI option to set the Aeros as a transmitter instead of receiver, but as I mentioned, it shouldn’t have received anything. I will check with support. Thanks

Hi,
I also discovered gaps when saving a song but only in one track. It happened twice. Both times I accidentally recorded a new track and deleted/cleared the recorded track (overdubs) of this track by holding down the overdub footswitch. When saving the song with the cleared track (nothing new overdubbed onto this cleared track) it created the gap in the track above or under the cleared track. Now it is not possible to fill the gap. You can overdub it but when saving it will create the same gap again and again. Another time a whole track was blank after saving a song with a cleared track. When overdubbing the cleared track and saving again will fill the gap with the sound from the overdubbed track (formerly cleared track). Because deleting a track without leaving an empty track is not possible I have to delete the whole songs with the gaps because they are messed up now.

I’m using the 6x6 mode and firmware 5.2.1

I wanted to upload images of the tracks with the gap but it was not possible (422 error). What are the file specifications for uploading images?

My apology. I got it backwards. Here’s all of the types you can upload.

If you’re still having problems, zip the files and upload.

If you’re using a Mac, use Preview to Export… (several choices) or Export as PDF…

Again, my apology.

Ok, here are the zipped images:
aerosgaps.zip (714.3 KB)

And here they both are:

Thanks!

In the first image the 3rd track was cleared and after saving the song a gap in track 4 was generated.
In the second image the 4th track was cleared and saved. the 3rd track has a gap now. I’ve tried several things to fill the gap again, but nothing worked.

Hi there,

We have a version in testing internally that we will be releasing to fix this bug very soon, thank you for your patience and your reports

You can already try it out in 5.3.0 beta, this update won’t fix the corrupted songs but does fix the problem that causes them

I’m having the same issues. The sound waves show but no audio, Sometimes there is a gap in the waves but audio it still there. Strange. I’m almost afraid to install the beta version 5.3 at this time. I hope they figure it out, I really like this looper. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Hey there, you shouldn’t be afraid! 5.3.0 is beta only because of some minor unrelated bugs in the brand new features we included in 5.3.x, but 5.3.0 has been out for a while without any major bugs reported.

The known bugs are listed in the 5.3.x forum post

It’s a very safe version to use and fixes this issue, so you can get to looping.

Thanks, I did download it but, still have songs cut short or go silent.

Could you please provide more details about the issue? You can also send a detailed video to support@singularsound.com, and I’ll be happy to look into it.
