"Auto-Advance" Setting for Playlist Hands-Free Use

Hi Singular Sound Team,

I am a BeatBuddy user and I would like to suggest a new feature for a future firmware update.

Currently, moving to the next song requires either a physical press on the pedal/footswitch or a MIDI command triggered by a manual action (like swiping a tablet). For solo performers who want a completely “switch-free” experience, it would be incredibly helpful to have an “Auto-Advance to Next Song” setting.

The Feature Idea:

  • Behavior: When a song ends (either naturally or after an outro), the BeatBuddy automatically cues/loads the next song in the current folder or playlist.

  • Benefit: This allows performers to keep their hands on their instruments and their feet still, with the pedal ready to start the next song immediately.

I believe this would be a game-changer for musicians who want to minimize “tap-dancing” or tablet interaction during a set.

Thank you for considering this.

Hello,

Thank you for posting your feature request! I’ve forwarded it to the team for consideration.

To expand on this…

Maybe a setting for the number of seconds before the next song automatically starts. This would allow time for those if us that need to change instrument and pedal settings.

And i would suggest this can be added to the pedal setup [auto-advance Y/N, Seconds =1-9] so a player could change it on stage for various sets without having to reload from bbmo.

Just to clarify: I meant that the next song cues up automatically and is ready with a press. I would be happy to press start to begin that cued beat whenever I/ the user is ready.

Thank you for the update! The request has been shared with the team via the forum link, so they’ll see the additional details as well. Thanks!

Agreed. Better to have it queued so user can press when ready.
