Know this might be a long shot since it would involve a large new firmware update and design for how to implement, but I had the idea the other day that it would be cool if BB had some built-in basic FX that could apply globally to each kit. One obvious example would be reverb, which could make it sound like some kits are being played in differently sized rooms. Another more fun one is flanger, which can add a cool tunnely-tube effect to the samples. Of course, this would open up a whole can of worms for the future, so maybe keeping the suggestion to a simple reverb would be more reasonable haha 8)
Just the other day I added reverb to BB with HX Stomp (+some EQ) and I like it. But then again that also means I don’t need FX within BB
But, you can add reverb to the wav files. The only problem is that once the instrument is hit again the sample starts from beginning thus meaning that no (long) trail is left behind for the first hit
One might be able to go around the trail problem by separating the reverb to different “instrument”, but you would have to modify each beat where you’d want to use reverb drum set (and you would need multiple trail “instrument” for each actual instrument in order to go past the original problem)
Anyway, this is just very complicated and tedious FX for BB. This would suit much better for effects that don’t need any trails
But do you actually hear the trail after the instrument is hit again, so perhaps I’m just overthinking and reverb would work just fine
