Does the BB2 have a faster song load speed than the BB1 or are they similar? I would buy the BB2 if I knew it was significantly quicker.
I believe it does.
I just did an informal comparison of the times to load a drum set (Rock) for the Rock 1 song when changing from a Blues 1 song using the Standard kit on the BB1 and the BB2. The BB1 took 5-6 seconds and the BB2 was about 2 seconds. Load times might have been faster on both pedals had I used a class 10 card but I wanted to use the 4Gb card that came with the pedals. If you are playing OPB songs and user-created drum sets, you may experience slightly longer load times on both pedals.
Your mileage and that of other users might vary.
Having just purchased a BB2 after many years of using BB1 it definitely loads quicker. There is no lag time now loading songs and especially drumsets.
