My digital piano has three pedals, Soft, Sostenute and Sustain.
I mainly use the Sustain pedal and it would be perfect to assign the two others to the BB2 control buttons.
The Midi control change numbers on the piano are fixed to 66 and 67 for these pedals (according to the MIDI standard) and as far as know all BB2 midi controls have fixed numbers.
My proposal for a feature update is to be able to use these two pedals in the same way as the two buttons on the BB2 pedal.
In this way the BB2 will not only be for guitars but also well fitted for all digital pianos with three pedals

Well, It looks like you need a MIDI mapper between your device and the BB.
Get an CME H2MIDI Pro or a H4MIDI WC.
This might be possible.
I checked the MIDI BB2 MIDI implementation and CC:120 Emulates the Master Control. That is good.
The midi standard states ≤63 off, ≥64 on for CC:65 and CC:66 that is used for the Piano pedals.
I guess the piano sends 0 when the pedal is released and a value above 64 when the pedal is depressed.
It should be fine to use the Piano CC:66 for the BB2 Master Control CC:120
It would also be very nice to be able to start and stop with a piano pedal.
Here I’m more confused…
BB2 CC:111 uses a value >1 to toggle between pause and unpause.
I hope the piano sends CC:65 only at pedal event…
In this case I can map this value to BB2 CC:111
If the piano sends CC:65 continuous then it will more tricky…
Do you know it’s possible to see the MIDI values in real-time in SW that is provided with the MIDI boxes that you propose?
Also do you know if this boxes allow to be programmed so that you don’t need the computer to be connected?
Well, that is probably documented in your device manual, or you can use any MIDI monitor software. You should also check if it sends those CCs or only receives them.
For sure. It even supports up to 4 presets.
Having said all that, I think you might be overcomplicating things. A simple MIDI controller will do the trick.
There are inexpensive but effective MIDI controllers out there, like the Paint Audio or the Hotone.
Thank you for all the proposals. I really appreciate it, and I will give this a try
To avoid one extra box in the piano setup, it would be very neat if the BB2 could support remapping of some of the incoming MIDI control change messages. I hope that there is someone else who needs this, and that it will be included in a future firmware update.
Until then, I hope the proposed solution will work.
