BB2 main foot switches

I’m an avid user of BB and I’m constantly changing parts and adding fills by stomping the main foot switch. Looking at BB2 with its 2 main foot switches I’m concern that I will hit the second switch all the time by accident and pause the song or other things. My question is can you tie the two main foot switches together or make them the same function so accidental hitting the second switch doesn’t mess me up.

It’s not possible yet to customize the two main switches this way. However, you do have the option of using the original Footswitch+, the SuperSwitch, or the MIDI Maestro. With the Footswitch+ or SuperSwitch, you can customize the buttons in the same way as with the BeatBuddy 1’s footswitch, so you can set them up to work exactly as you want and avoid hitting the wrong switch by accident.

Thanks for this response. This will probably be a show stopper for me to use BB2. If the 2nd main switch can be an accent, instead of pause, then this would probably work provided it doesnt impact what the first main switch is doing. If I hit an accent by accident when doing a fill or transition on the other main switch, no big deal. Hitting a pause by accident is a big problem during a performance. Please consider this a feature request. Cheers

Hey there,

Support was mistaken here, either main footswitch on the BeatBuddy 2 can be set to be the same thing, but maybe you would prefer it does no action, no action option can be set for all playing/paused/stopped states independently. Any switch on Footswitch + or Superswitch can also be set this way.

Pressing both buttons set to be master control (by having both set to master control) could have unintended behaviors, so I would recommend using no action.

Thanks for this response. This is actually what I expected/hoped was the case. I can envision an accessory that bridges both main switch’s to create one large foot switch like on BB1 for all of us big foot stompers that need a large target to hit fills and transitions while playing guitar and singing at the same time. Cheers
