When I’m trying to edit a midi file in BeatBuddy midi editor it is very slow to open and freezes 80% of the time

There are known performance (sluggishness) issues with both the Windows and Mac versions. Because of this, I don’t use the BBM Midi Editor for anything but verifying that there are no unsupported notes.
It’s up to you if you want to try this and if you do, make sure you have a current backup of your project and all drum sets. Use Windows to remove the BBM from the laptop. Make sure there are no extra bbworkspace folders lingering on your computer. Do a fresh install. You’ll have better performance for a while until the sluggishness starts to build up again.

I will move all bb files onto a USB stick and make a copy of the SD card
And start completely from scratch
I will have to back up all the songs and drum sets I’ve purchased as well
If you Sync Project, you should have the current project backed on your SD card.
