BBMO BUG: Save Track as MIDI File does not work properly

Tested on a Mac Mini M2 (Silicon) using Sequoia 15.1 using Vivaldi BBMO 1.5.0

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
That a MIDI track will be saved as the entire song with all instrumentation and not just a few measures and some instruments.

WHAT IS HAPPENING:
The file resulting from the BBMO Save MIDI file used as an OPB song with the MIDI file in the INTRO is incomplete.

Here are the files and screen shots to illustrate the issue:

  1. Screen shot of MIDI file exported from DAW. It has 2,731 notes and 161+ measures

  2. Here’s the zipped MIDI file exported from my DAW
    Song v3 from DAW.mid.zip (1.9 KB)

  3. Here’s the screen shot from the BBMO Save Track as MIDI. It has 33 notes from 8 measures.

  4. Here’s the zipped Save Track as MIDI File
Song v3 SAVED as MIDI from BBMO.mid.zip (954 Bytes)

Hi persist,

Thank you for reporting this issue! I’ve sent this information to the dev team for further investigation.

Hey there,

We could not reproduce this,

Could you provide the specific original file so that we could use to reproduce the issue?

Let us know, thanks!

As requested:
A Forest - The Cure.zip (68.5 KB)
Contains three versions of the exported .sng files and the .mid files.

I can replicate the symptoms in Silicon macOS 15.2b, Chrome as well as Intel macOS 10.15.7, Chrome.

The process works as expected with .mid exports from the default content beats.

Thinking that this could be attributable somehow to my work methodology, I tested my observation with an OPB provided by another user. Same results. Here’s the files for that song as well.

The resulting Export to MIDI of OPB songs seems to be fewer than 7 measures.
