BBMO - often skips first beat when auditioning a pattern

Windows 10, Chrome, BeatBuddy

When auditioning a drum pattern with BBMO

  • First note of a pattern doesn’t always play, initially. Restarting the pattern still may not include the first beat. Quantizing doesn’t help. This happens with stock, premium, and user beats. Once BBMO plays that first beat in the pattern, it subsequently plays it the next time you queue it up. Go to another song and audition one of its patterns and there’s a good chance the first beat of that pattern will be skipped.

Is this something that BBMO programmers can take a look at? It’s kinda distracting.

Thanks!!

Hi there,

Question, is this when you use the BeatBuddy virtual player, when you play the MIDI file from the MIDI editor window, or is it both?

Mind that the virtual player is a different playback engine than the MIDI window player, this is why I ask.

Thank you for reporting

Although I’m noticing the virtual pedal doesn’t always pick up on ‘1’, my concern is with the EDIT window, when I’m tweaking a part of a song.
