BBMO request… MAC compatibility

How’s about making BBMO compatible with SAFARI so many of us (who don’t like Google or Vivaldi) can use it? IF it were SAFARI compatible, it’s highly likely that it would also work on an iPad which many already have mounted to a stand, controlling the BB. Or BETTER YET, how’s about making it into a browser independent app??

While we’re in it? FAST FORWARD? REWIND??

Thanks.

Hey there,

Unfortunately, it is apple you should be complaining to, as we cannot make safari work with the app, it’s critical functions require features not allowed by safari. There are no current plans to make the app offline, so it is best to get acquainted with a browser that will work.

Thank you for the feedback

Hi , which are the critical functions that safari does not allow? (So that we can complain to Apple in the right way)

Gr. Ronnie

On the BBMO Safari splash page:

" If you are using Safari or Firefox, consider writing to Apple Support orFirefox Support and asking them to allow Filesystem API on directories.

Copy and paste this message to reach out:

“Please create a new version of the browser app that supports the ability to use FileSystemAPI on directories, this is essential for working with a BeatBuddy project and SD cards that are saved on my computer usingthe online editor.”

Which is why so many of us don’t use it, as Ive said before I frequently don’t have internet access when working with my BB. So I’m still using the original windows BBM, and I’ll continue to do so until we have a real replacement which BBMO is not.

The BB community doesn’t seem large enough to have even a remote chance of influencing Apple or Firefox to modify their browsers. If an online solution such as BBMO is the only BeatBuddy manager that is going to be supported, it should have been developed to be compatible with those major browsers.

I avoid Google products, and I don’t use the other browsers that work with BBMO. The original BBM basically works for me, and I’ll also continue to use it.

Overall, the BeatBuddy meets my current needs. Mine has served me well for years, and I enjoy using it. But it is old technology and it also has other shortcomings (such as difficulty in achieving consistent volume for different songs, on which several of us have commented over an extended period).

I understand Singular Sound has limited resources, but I’d like to see BeatBuddy better supported.
