BBMO Update - Changes for v2.0.5?

According to my BBMO, it appears v2.0.5 (2026-02-13) was released.

Unfortunately, this does not fix my issues with not reading many songs as previously posted.

I just finished testing and I can validate what Bootsy is reporting. The suspect songs work in the BBM and it would seem that exporting the songs from the BBM and then importing them into the BBMO, that they would open and play. That’s not the case, though.

Are there any other changes?

It is confusing, because 2.0.5 was already released in January. I also have been trying to find what’s new, if anything, since most bugs I know of are still there.

The latest updates to the BBMO were rolled out in January, as indicated in the changelog. No additional updates have been released since then.

But why does my BBMO shows version dated 2026-02-13 (although the same number as the one rolled in January)? I had version 2.0.5 (2026-01-06) and all of a sudden I have version 2.0.5 (2026-02-13). Makes one think that there was a new version rolled out on that date.

That just gets into January, it does not include whatever changes, if any, were made this month (2026-02-13).

I’ll admit that I’m easy to confuse but as jdonato mentions, the BBMO displays that it’s v2.0.5 (2026-02-13 which would seem to indicate that changes were made. For example, when launching BBMO, it no longer prompts me to approve “Allow this site to edit files?” and there may be other changes as well.

NOTE: I just checked the beta version [v2.0.6 (2026-02-25) ]https://bbmo-beta.dyhfwrcznxkz3.amplifyapp.com/ and that prompt has been restored.
