Will the Beat Buddy 2 be able to transition the song parts on the Aeros in 6x6 mode without the tap dancing required when the Aeros is the slave?
Will the new 6 button foot switch be able to do it manually and/or will autopilot on the BB2 be able to do it automatically?

Hey there,
Unfortunately, it will not only because the Aeros does not automatically switch parts when receiving the CC:102 command in 6x6, another part must be selected, this would be a change required in the Aeros not for the BeatBuddy 2.
The BeatBuddy 2 technically is capable of this, and you could tap to the part you wish to switch to and Aeros will switch on receiving the CC:102 command. With Autopilot, this MIDI command will send automatically any time the part switches on BB2.
Thanks for the question!

Thanks Brennan. Just to clarify, autopilot will be able to transition the BB2 part and the Aeros part automatically? Whether it’s in 6x6 mode or 2x2 mode?
No, the Aeros will not respond automatically to part change commands from the BeatBuddy 2 when in 6x6 mode, it would require you to select what part you wish to switch to on the Aeros or via midi to respond to the cc102 command that the BeatBuddy will send. In 2x2 mode, the Aeros will respond without needing any interaction
Yes, the BeatBuddy 2 will change parts automatically as stipulated by AP settings in BBMO (a new version will release as beta when BB2 is available)

Ok, so there really isn’t a benefit to use the autopilot function with the Aeros. The midi maestro is the only way to use the Aeros and BB at its full potential.
At first not a major benefit but there is potential for updates to allow for more powerful combination
That being said, there is no current plan for this
Once the BB2 is out we will see what is most important to users and go from there
