I’m considering to get a Beatbuddy just to use for a four on the floor kick drum.I don’t use any pre made loops and I like to live loop most of my drums using a Roland Handsonic. But for some dance songs it would be nice to have a really solid four on the floor kick. I know the Beat Buddy is probably way overkill for this but it would be nice to just have that option on my pedalboard. Anyone else doing this?

We do that using the Jazz kit for Barrett’s Privateers on St. Paddy’s day. But that’s the only one we do it with. I can see why you might want to do it.

The BeatBuddy’s MIDI capabilities make it the best live performance partner, easily sync it to your looper, your Ableton rig, or any master clocks. Or you can use it as the master clock for your setup and sync your MIDI enabled time based FX pedals to a tempo.
By adding a MIDI file to a song part in a song you make yourself in the BeatBuddy Manager you could have the BeatBuddy play anything you’d like on repeat. Or use the BB as a drum brain to a MIDI sequencer.
Lastly, it has a spectacular relationship with the Aeros, they are unmatched as a team
Thanks for the question!
