Beat buddy: Unanswered questions

Hi! I am about to buy a beat buddy to gig live about once a month with a duo setup, she sings and I play guitar. We’ve been playing at casinos and private high end parties latelly.

Before adding the beat buddy I want to know these if anyone can help me:

-is it possible to have the beat buddy come in late in the song, example after four measures?, does it adapt to the tempo I had been playing despite not being active up to that point on the song?

  • is there anyway to sincronize it to my boss rc-30? This loop pedal is really good for a duet but this drum machine would be a great addition to work song parts.

Anyways I hope I can get some feedback and sorry for the long post and possible grammar mistakes. Cheers

You could create a blank 4measure intro, and have the BB start putting out sounds 4 measures after your started. It will NOT adapt to your tempo, but it does have a flashing display so you can adapt to its tempo.

The RC-30 has no synchronization capabilities. It does not have midi in or out,

When we have a song that requires a late start for the drums, I look down at the screen to get the tempo (the bars move across the screen in the programmed tempo), and then start the Beat Buddy where I need him. Sometimes, I program a 4-count intro to make sure my timing is synched with what’s about to happen.

To make that work, though, I do have to change a setting on the Beat Buddy: By default, the BB starts on RELEASE of the pedal, and I need it to start on the PRESS for it to work with my cranial apparatus (i.e., “my brain”)…

guess  I’ll check this out
