Beatbuddy 2 / Beatbuddy Original and BBMO

Hey, just looking for some clarification. I use the original BB and don’t currently have plans to upgrade to BB2. I use BBMO for all my BB configuration.

What is the plan to make sure BBMO changes to accommodate BB2 don’t cause original BB owners like me any grief? I depend on both.

Will there be separate BBMO sites?

Any info is appreciated,

Rick

Hey there,

Great question!

The BeatBuddy Manager Online will have 2 modes, one for BeatBuddy 1 and one for BeatBuddy 2. Projects need to be converted to BeatBuddy 2 Mode to access all of BeatBuddy 2’s features

We will be fully supporting using BeatBuddy 1 on BBMO, just without any new BB2 features but all of the useful bug fixes and general improvements. You will be able to try the new version soon when BeatBuddy 2 launches officially, we will make the BBMO 2.0 available as a beta and launch soon after.

Thanks for the question.

Will BB2 songs be backwardly compatible (or freely convertible) to BB1?

There will not be any BeatBuddy 2 songs, they will be universally usable

The BeatBuddy 1 will just ignore the Autopilot information, all SNG files will work on either device

Thanks for the question!

When we convert our Beatbuddy 1 songs to Beatbuddy 2 format in BBMO, will we be able to convert an entire Projects worth of songs in one fell swoop, or one song or folder at a time?

Or maybe it’s as simple as opening an existing Beatbuddy 1 project in Beatbuddy 2 BBMO, and it all gets converted automatically? Thanks

Now I have the BB2 is the BBMO 2 released yet? I want to import all my BB1 songs. Thenks

The BBMO 2 will be released soon, and you’ll be notified by email once it’s available.

You can use the same SD card from your BeatBuddy 1 in your BeatBuddy 2—you don’t need to use BBMO for that.

If you want to set up Autopilot, it needs to be done song by song, since you’ll need to decide how long each part should play.
