Beatbuddy and aeros integration failure

I am unable to get the Aeros to recognize the tempo of the Beatbuddy. Set Aeros to receiver and connected as explained in the manual but it doesn’t work. Shows N/A under tempo on Aeros screen.Beatbuddy Midi out to Aeros Midi in. Aeros Mono out to Beatbuddy Mono in. Beatbuddy out to amp. Guitar to Aeros Mono in.
Any ideas? Thanks

Could be cable issue or if unlucky the midi port could be broken

Disconnect the Aeros out to BB in and it should work, p140 of the Aeros User Manual.

Turns out if you have “Song grid mode” in Freeform, the Tempo shows N/A. Bear in mind that I am a complete newbie to this stuff. Thanks for the ideas.
