BeatBuddy brings up song #7 using MIDI

Over a year and a half, BB “sticks” to song # 7 in whatever folder is selected.
At first it was occasional, gradually progressing to whatever song is selected by MIDI, song 7 is always displayed in BB
This also happens if there are no commands to other MIDI devices, on startup, rebooting iPad & BB, switching back & forth.
Correcting to desired song # manually, then switching to another song, and switching back also results in song 7 being selected.
In this example (one of many) song #, Bad Moon Rising is selected (Song #1), however #7 Proud Mary appears on BB
Data to other channels is handled correctly, as is folder and tempo data to BB.

Thanks so much!

This is really weird, as I don’t see anything wrong here. I would try a few things initially:

  1. Make sure your BB is not set so OMNI (it appears you are transmitting to CH4 for BB)
  2. Make the BB first device in the physical MIDI chain after the Morningstar.
  3. Try setting your BB to OMNI and then back to CH4.
  4. Try setting your BB to another channel and then back to CH4
  5. Refresh the firmware, rinse and repeat.

Hopefully, one of those things sort you out.

Good luck – let us know what happens!

Thank you. Trying now. . .

The MIDI’s were set to OMNI. Might have happened after I updated the firmware. Thank you so very much~!

I take my victories where I find them. I really need to turn this into a business!
