BeatBuddy has disabled my Sony Studio 10 DAW

I just had the BB manager installed on my new computer. Everything seemed fine until I tried to record a Beat to my Sony Studio 10 DAW. The Sony Studio 10 wont let me record. The arm Button wont respond. It was working fine until I installed the BB manager.

The only way the issue could be related to BBM is if the BBM has seized (and not let go of) your ASIO sound channel. It doesn’t happen on my PC with Reaper, and it shouldn’t happen with the Sony DAW either, but it is possible. Try shutting down BBM. If that doesn’t work, try shutting down and restarting your computer.

Thanks, I have closed BB on my computer and closed Sony DAW. Then I have restarted the computer. Then with nothing else but Sony opened Sony wont record or allow me to drop a song into a track. My BeatBuddy works ok even if Sony is open. Sony worked ok before my BB manaager was reinstalled on my new computer. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Just tried this with Reaper through the soundcard audio on the PC’s motherboard. I did need to configure the audio in Reaper to ‘hear’ the audio from BBM in the input settings. I suspect the Sony DAW has similar settings, did those get changed somehow? I have had problems with Reaper and another DAW not arming or recording if it was set to an audio source that wasn’t available.

I believe you are in the vicinity of your problem, but I don’t know enough about the Sony DAW to tell you where to look, I’m afraid.
