BeatBuddy MIDI Sync Issue

I currently have the BeatBuddy hooked up from the MIDI out of BeatBuddy to the MIDI in of the Aeros but when I press the “play/stop all” on the Aeros, the BeatBuddy keeps playing drums and it doesn’t stop even if the recording is finished.

Also: when the I record on the BeatBuddy and Looper and playback the song I have recorded, the BeatBuddy keeps playing drums and doesn’t stop.

How can I make it so pressing the “play/stop all” on the Aeros stops the BeatBuddy?

Also: when I hold down the BeatBuddy pedal to go to the next part of the song (part 2) nothing happens on the Aeros looper. Is there way to make it so pressing next part on BeatBuddy also makes it so that it goes to next part of song on Aeros?

Hey there,

The issue is arising from the fact that you have the BeatBuddy connected as the MIDI master

What you need to consider are the benefits of Aeros as master vs BeatBuddy as master. The master is decided by who is sending commands and MIDI sync to the other. If the Aeros doesn’t have a MIDI cable from the out the BeatBuddy’s in, it cannot control the BeatBuddy.

The reason the Aeros isn’t changing parts is likely due to Aeros being in 6x6 mode, in 6x6 mode the Aeros will only change parts if a part other than the one you are currently on is selected on the Aeros. You would have to first select the Aeros part, and then transition the BeatBuddy.

Let me know if this is helpful or if you have other questions,

Thanks
