When on pause mode, the screen changes to black screen and the tempo is still moving. Can we optionally replace it with a drum part? So for example we can put hi hat in there or something to keep the time?
Hmmm. Not sure your request is doable as pausing the beat while having it sound the hi-hat sounds like mutually excluding events.

You could use a transition instead, using a count with hi-hats as the transition fill. I do that all the time.

As a current workaround, you can set up a part in BBMO with hi-hats and switch to that part instead of using pause. I understand this is different from what you’re asking for, but I understand the request and have passed it along.
