BeatBuddy stop issue

awhile ago there was a great tutorial on how to turn the beatbuddy into a playback system. unfortunately, there was an issue with being able to stop the intro and i would keep looping over if you tried double tapping to end. Has anyone come up with a fix for this issue? with the new bbmo creating the drum and track was almost too easy and the only thing that makes it unusable is the fact you cant stop the music once its starts. triple press to stop doesnt work, neither does the external footswitch. please feel free to throw any ideas back at me

Does pause work? And then change the song to a different one?

This mostly works for me…

  1. When building the drumkit, put the playback instrument into a choke group with another ‘normal’ instrument - for example, a cowbell (doesn’t matter what).
  2. Put the playback midi into loop 1, rather than the intro.
  3. Put the choke cowbell midi - a single beat at low volume - into both loop 2 and the outro (can’t quite remember why I put it in both places, safety I think).

When performing, play loop 1. To stop, triple click the main pedal to play the outro and choke the playback.
