Beatbuddy2 - Boomerang Looper and Onsong

This is my setup: Beatbuddy2 is the Master and sends via MIDI the clock synch to my Boomerang III. I use Onsong to change the songs (beat patterns) via MIDI.

The issue is that sporadically (I have yet to identify a pattern), when progressing through my setlist in Onsong, the Boomerang will at times go into mute mode or octave mode. It doesn’t do it while the BB2 is running, only when I’m selecting a new song… again, I haven’t identified a pattern as to why. I initially thought that it could be a MIDI LSB - MSB issue (tempo greater than 128BPM) but that appears not to be the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this same issue?

My guess is that Onsong is sending a MIDI command that the Boomerang is responding to. If you can, change the input channel the Boomerang is listening to MIDI messages on (to a different channel from the BeatBuddy) and see if that fixes the problem.

I’ll try that…. gotta figure how to do that first! LOL!
